Dr. Bailey Devine, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LBA TX
Bailey is the founder and President of Behavior Experts of Texas; a 501c3 dedicated to disseminating all things behavior analytic to the DFW community. She is currently working with her colleagues at Behavior Experts of Texas to raise start-up funds to open a non-profit private school to serve children with disabilities in the Fort Worth Texas area by embedding behavior analytic principles into all aspects of the educational environment. You can learn more about this passion project here.
In addition to her clinical work, Bailey continues to conduct behavior analytic and educational research. She recently completed a grant-funded research position in the Mathematics Education Program at the University of Texas at San Antonio. In this capacity she investigated how a student-mentoring program impacted preservice math teachers’ pedagogy, as well as the math learning of local community parents who received free tutoring through this grant-funded program.
Bailey received her B.S. (2009) and first M.S. (2013) in Behavior Analysis from The University of North Texas in Denton. She then received her second M.S. (2016) and Ph.D. (2018) in the Experimental Analysis of Human Behavior at Texas Christian University where she specialized in research about Verbal Behavior. She has over 18 years of clinical experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and has specialized training in the analysis of dangerous problem behavior in children and adults, as well as the acquisition of language in populations who have struggled to develop effective communication repertoires. Bailey is especially interested in research extending behavior analysis to populations without developmental disabilities including but not limited to typically developing children and adults, athletes, and animals. When she is not working with clients, or teaching college classes, Bailey enjoys figure skating, training her dogs, and coaching or judging Spring Board Diving.
